The Opportunity

Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is part of Abbott’s Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry leading technologies to support diagnostic testing which provides important information for the treatment and management of diseases and other conditions. This position is in the Toxicology Business Unit, servicing agencies in the government criminal justice and treatment market.

The Marketing Communications Specialist will play a crucial role in developing and executing marketing strategies that effectively communicate our brand message. This individual will be responsible for creating compelling content and designing visually appealing materials for various marketing channels, including advertisements, publications, pamphlets, posters, packages, labels, and other promotional materials.

What You’ll Work On

Develop and implement marketing communication strategies to enhance brand awareness and engagement. Ability to respond quickly to changing market environments and customer needs.

Create and write high-quality content for various marketing materials, including brochures, newsletters, social media posts, and website content.

Design and produce visual materials such as advertisements, posters, pamphlets, packages, and labels.

Collaborate with cross-functional team s to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all marketing channels.

Manage and maintain the company's visual identity and ensure all materials align with brand guidelines.

Conduct market research to understand target audiences and develop effective positioning strategies.

Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.

Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in marketing communications and graphic design.

Support the planning and implementation of branding and communications projects  in the areas of advertising, promotional programs, trade shows, digital, and mobile communications.

Plan, create, and produce marketing, advertising, sales promotional materials, and digital tools  to support brand strategies and marketing objectives.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.

Eight years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proven experience in marketing communications, content creation, and graphic design.

Preferred Qualifications

Drug testing industry knowledge preferred

Criminal justice or treatment market knowledge preferred

Advanced-level proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Excellent understanding of marketing principles and product positioning.

Ability to conduct market research and analyze data to inform marketing strategies

Experience with digital marketing strategies and tools
