Location : Anchorage, AK 99508

Healthcare Setting : Acute Care Hospital, Magnet Facility, Level II Trauma Center

Assignment Type : Travel Nurse Contract

Start Date : January 5, 2026

End Date : April 6, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Nursing Shift : 4x10-hour days (07 : 00 - 17 : 00)

Hours per Week : 40

Guaranteed Hours : 70 hours per 2 weeks

On-call : Required (including weekends)

Charting System : Epic

Scrub Color : Provided

Parking : Free

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2460 - $2640

CVOR Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent CVOR RN experience in an acute care or hospital setting

Active Alaska RN license (pending license accepted; preference for license in hand)

BLS and ACLS certifications required

Proficiency with Epic charting system

Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs

Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)

Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (no local candidates)

Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years

Hepatitis B vaccine required

CVOR RN Responsibilities

Deliver expert perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular surgical patients

Assist with advanced procedures including CABG, TAVR, Mitral valve replacement, MAZE procedure, and atrial septal defect repair

Administer blood and blood products, manage wound care, and uphold infection control standards

Maintain safety protocols for fire, laser, and radiation in the operating room

Handle and label surgical specimens according to universal protocols

Participate in on-call rotation and float to support hospital staffing needs

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care
