To enhance the lives of the residents by providing care and services, companionship and comfort to the residents.
Certified Medication Aide- Part Time- 7am-3pm, must be able to work every other weekend.
Specific Requirements
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when necessary
- Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition
Essential Functions
Pass medications- Must have Medication Aide CertificationAssist residents with Activities of Daily Living as defined in the resident care planProvide housekeeping and laundry services in resident's units and common areas as indicated on the daily checklistSet tables, serve meals and bus tables using Serving GuidelinesAnswer call lights in a timely manor and respond appropriatelyRespond to any and all medical emergencies following established emergency proceduresAttend training and in-services as scheduledInteract professionally with Resident's family membersCarry out all duties as defined on the checklistsProvide transportation services for the residents as neededComplete special projects as assigned by supervisorAssist residents with medication administration as defined by the regulatory agencyDocument all resident information and concerns in the communication bookPhysical And Sensory Requirements

Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workdayMust be able to speak The English language in an understandable mannerMust be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the positionMust be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable the senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met (i.e., accurately read measurements on patient / resident related equipment such as thermometers, monitors, gauges)Must be able to function independently, have personal integrity, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel and support agenciesMust be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stabilityMust be able to relate and work with the disabled, ill, elderly, emotionally upset, hostile people within the facility at all timesMust be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum, of 50 poundsMust be able to safely evacuate the residentsProfessionalism
