We are potentially hiring for a qualified civilian Optometrist to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our veterans and their families at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California.Benefits : Status : Full-Time Schedule : 24 / 7 Excellent financial package designed to attract compassionate, top performers Independent Contractor The Optometrist will have the following qualifications : Degree : Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) from a school or college of optometry accredited by the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education (ACOE) and approved by the Air Force Surgeon General in the year of the applicants graduation. Experience : Applicants must have 2 years of general TPA practice of optometry or one year of ACOE accredited post-graduate residency training in an appropriate specialty area. Licensure : Must have a permanent, full, and unrestricted therapeutic pharmaceutical agents (TPA) license to practice optometry in a State, Territory or Commonwealth of the United States or in the District of Columbia. Certifications : Must be currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) Due to contractual obligations with the DoD, Health Care Workers performing under this contract must either be a U.S. citizen, or as defined by the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, either a noncitizen national of the United State, lawful permanent resident of the United States, or alien authorized to work in the United States.
