Registered Nurse - Oncology

Position Summary : As a Registered Nurse, you will utilize the nursing process to deliver high-quality direct and indirect patient care. You will coordinate care while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team and effectively communicate patient clinical conditions.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, focusing on psychosocial, physical, educational, and cultural needs.
• Provide age-appropriate care, particularly for adult and geriatric populations.
• Manage and educate patients and families regarding pain assessment and management.
• Develop and revise individualized care plans based on assessment and treatment responses.
• Administer medications safely while minimizing errors.
• Ensure patient safety and promote positive outcomes in all care environments.
• Document nursing processes and patient responses timely and accurately.
• Demonstrate flexibility and organizational skills under stress, employing critical thinking in care prioritization.
• Formulate and assess teaching plans, involving families in the educational process.
• Exhibit autonomous practice adhering to evidence-based standards.
• Provide accurate reports for safe patient care transitions.
• Monitor patients receiving antineoplastic therapy, understanding its effects, risks, and benefits.
• Ensure diligent monitoring for patients on remote telemetry, responding promptly to any concerns.
