Central Arizona Nocturnist Job

Role : Nocturnist – Internal Medicine

Location : Central Arizona (approx. 100 miles north of Phoenix)

Type : Permanent

Employer : Private hospitalist group

Credentialing : Two hospitals (you only work at one per shift / week – no inter-hospital travel )

Start : Open to 2025 residents ; H1 visa sponsorship available

Schedule : 7-on / 7-off; 12-hour shifts (6–6 or 7–7 depending on site)

Volume : 18–22 patients / day (may be higher during busy season)

Admissions :

Hospital #1 : 0–2 from 6 AM–12 PM; daytime admitter 12–8 PM

Hospital #2 : Admissions from 7 AM–12 PM or 4–7 PM

Coverage :

Hospital #1 : 5 hospitalist teams, 2 NP teams, one admitter, ICU nocturnist at night

Hospital #2 : 2 hospitalists + 1 NP team, 1 nocturnist at night

ICU Duties :

Hospital #1 : ICU rounding possible, Intensivist support available

Hospital #2 : ICU rounding required; transfer decompensating patients to Hospital #1

Codes :

Hospital #1 : Respond to codes / RRTs for own patients; ED / Intensivists lead

Hospital #2 : Respond to all codes / RRTs

Procedures : Not required

EMR : Cerner

Base Salary : $300,000–$350,000

Extra Shifts : Available (in-house moonlighting)
