Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : RN Specialty : CPRH ICU 2 Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day Hours per Shift : 12 hours (7am - 7 : 30pm) Experience : Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience License : Valid RN License in good standing Certifications : BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association) Must-Have : ASN degree Description : The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients for a designated time frame. Provides care to these patients through the nursing process, nursing trends, technology, and resources. Performs all responsibilities and duties required by the unit as specific to the scope of service. Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice. Maintains accurate documentation of nursing care provided to ensure integration of information for the healthcare team. Completes initial assessment upon patient admission and develops an appropriate plan of care based on patient and family needs. Implements the plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures. Modifies the plan of care based upon continuous evaluation. Takes responsibility for patient safety by reporting or correcting safety hazards and incidents. Communicates with others directly and privately when necessary to resolve issues. Offers constructive feedback to assist in the professional development of peers. Confers with colleagues to expand knowledge base. Identifies own learning needs and takes initiative to address them. Fulfills all requirements of departmental competencies.
