Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Tupelo, Mississippi (38801) – Mississippi healthcare jobs

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

Start Date : December 3, 2025 (or December 17, 2025)

Shift : 12-hour days (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM)

Hours per Week : 36

Schedule : 3-1-3 or 6 on / 8 off (provided at contract start)

Unit : Cardiac Stepdown (16 beds)

Patient Ratios : 1 : 2 to 1 : 4

EMR : Epic

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1780 - $1910 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Mississippi

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification

NIH Stroke Scale certification

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Stepdown or Cardiac Stepdown nursing job

Ability to float to other stepdown units as needed

Flexibility to work weekends and holidays (must be available for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day AND New Year's Eve or New Year's Day)

Must pass Basic and Advanced Dysrhythmia (rhythm strip) test with a score of 80% or higher

Complete compliance documentation 7 days before start date

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients

Monitor and assess cardiac patients, recognizing and responding to changes in patient conditions

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Document patient information accurately in the Epic EMR system

Float to other stepdown units within the hospital as required

Maintain flexibility with scheduling and demonstrate commitment to the assignment

Participate in required orientation and ongoing clinical training
