Security Officer

Vantor, Inc. is looking for an experienced security officer to join our team, fulfilling an Armed TS / SCI position primarily supporting our Longmont, CO site. This position is for swing shift.

Responsibilities :

• Execute all Vantor Physical Security policies and procedures.
• Ensure that the work environment is safe and well-maintained.
• Interact and aid employees, contractors, visitors, and fellow officers.
• Preparing Passdown, incident, and Daily Activity reports
• Monitor security surveillance systems.
• Create, issue, and collect employee identification badges.
• Grant, remove, and audit area access utilizing applicable database(s)
• Carry, operate, and communicate using radio communications.
• Investigate and report hazards, unusual, or suspicious circumstances in the workplace.
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to protect against theft, damage, and harm.
• Patrol classified and unclassified premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of entry points.
• Support security training and briefings.
• Conduct end-of-day security checks.
• Conduct classified area open / close procedures.
• Safeguard classified materials
• Protect combinations and access to security containers, cabinets, vaults, closed areas.
• Protect and maintain inventory of keys, locks, and electronic access control devices.
• Escort personnel throughout the facility, including classified areas.
• Provide immediate response to emergency scenarios including hostile acts, threats of violence, natural and manmade disasters, medical emergencies, etc.

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range. The base pay for this position within Colorado is : $33.75 - $56.25 hourly. For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
