Unit Overview :
Join our dynamic 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit where you will provide care for diverse and complex neurosurgical patients. This includes :
Post-operative care for craniotomies, AVMs, and tumor resectionsSpinal surgeries across cervical, thoracic, and lumbar regionsHandling cases related to hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes in our Comprehensive Stroke ProgramManaging a high volume of spinal surgery patients and other medical overflow casesAs part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII) , you will be at the forefront of the latest neurosurgical techniques and exceptional patient care.

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care with the involvement of patients and families.Monitor patient conditions, respond to changes, and adjust care plans accordingly.Focus on patient safety, risk reduction, and supportive patient education.Coordinate discharge planning with a collaborative approach.Engage in ongoing quality improvement efforts to advance patient care.Maintain ethical standards and foster collaborative work within the care team.Qualifications :
Current RN license in the state of practiceBasic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHACompletion of an accredited Nursing programTypically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experienceSkills & Abilities :
Ability to deliver holistic patient care with confidence and flexibility.Strong computer skills for electronic medical records and communication.Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.Adept at critical decision-making and problem-solving.Physical capability to manage patient mobility and perform necessary procedures.Working Conditions :
