Medical Assistant

We're hiring a Medical Assistant to join our outpatient dermatology clinic in Doylestown, PA. The Medical Assistant will assist Physicians and other Providers by preparing procedure trays, ensuring adequate supplies for the department and assisting with patient care.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and document intake.
• Obtain and record vital signs.
• Organize patient flow.
• Setup procedure tray, instruments, and equipment according to instructions.
• Assist providers with dermatology procedures.
• Prepare Path / lab specimens, route to correct lab directed by patient insurance plan.
• Respond to patient questions in office and on phone as instructed.
• Review and address clinical task lists and nurse line messages.
• Calibrate, clean, sterilize and inventory all equipment & instruments according to schedule. Keep appropriate records of maintenance.
• Maintain medication supplies, discard out-of-date supplies, and keep appropriate records.
• Maintain infection control and make sure supply rooms and cabinets are stocked.
• Ordering, sorting, restocking and inventory of all supplies.
• Accurately document patient information and scribe provider notes in the EMR.
• Assist with administration of local anesthetic.
• Ensure all phone messages, faxes, and interdepartmental mail are addressed in a timely manner.
