Meet the Team

The Silicon Ops Quality - Americas (U.S.) team focuses on ensuring operational quality and excellence for Cisco's silicon products, such as Cisco Silicon One, by supporting the development and deployment of programmable silicon architectures and ASICs that power Cisco's routing and switching platforms. Their work is crucial to Cisco's broader technology portfolio, advancing Cisco Silicon One-a unified silicon architecture designed to meet the routing and switching needs of data centers and networks. By maintaining high operational quality standards, the team supports innovation in programmable silicon that underpins key product lines like the Catalyst 9000 and Cisco 8000 series, ensuring scalable, flexible, and high-performance hardware solutions that drive Cisco's leadership in enterprise technology. Working in this team offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of cutting-edge silicon and software innovations, contributing to next-generation networking capabilities through collaboration across engineering, operations, and customer experience teams in a dynamic, innovation-focused environment.

Your Impact

As an Engineering Project Manager, your core impact will be to drive the successful development and implementation of products and services from concept to customer release, ensuring efficient and timely delivery that enhances the company's offerings and customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include :

  • Strategic Project & Program Management : Manage projects with 1-3 scrum teams and a 6-12 month strategic horizon. Supervise the entire project portfolio, ensuring program health and overall project success.
  • Planning & Control : Define and implement project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables, continuously monitoring progress to ensure on-schedule and within-budget completion.
  • Identify and secure necessary resources (people, tools, funding), assign major project roles, and provide technical support and direction to project staff.
  • Organize multi-functional activities, identify partners, and foster strong relationships.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk and issue analysis, identifying and escalating scope creep and sophisticated issues to relevant collaborators.
  • Process Improvement & Coaching : Analyze and optimize existing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability. Recommend project execution improvements, guide teams on process enhancements, and coach others on product development lifecycle, engineering processes, and industry trends.
  • Apply basic working knowledge of Agile principles within software development environments.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 10 years of validated experience handling post-production support processes, including RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) and failure analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead complex, large-scale programs to on-time completion through effective multi-functional collaboration.
  • Proven track record of effectively collaborating with suppliers to achieve program objectives.
  • Extensive experience with various project and program management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
  • Proficiency in program management and data analysis tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Power BI.
  • Skilled in developing internal documentation, mapping process workflows, and preparing executive-level presentations.
  • Prior experience in process optimization, metrics tracking, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience ensuring internal team alignment with the product roadmap and coordinating efforts across teams to meet strategic product breakthroughs.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify process gaps, propose effective solutions, and drive their implementation across multiple teams and partners.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA (desired). Minimum 5 years of program or project management experience, preferably in technology, semiconductor, networking or engineering sectors.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical, non-technical content and business information to diverse audiences, including executive leadership.
  • Collaborative mind.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering actionable results.

    The starting salary range posted for this position is $135,800.00 to $193,400.00 and reflects the projected salary range for new hires in this position in U.S. and / or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation

  • Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and / or training. The full salary range for certain locations is listed below.     U.S. employees are offered benefits, subject to Cisco's plan eligibility rules, which include medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability coverage, and basic life insurance. Employees may be eligible to receive grants of Cisco restricted stock units, which vest following continued employment with Cisco for defined periods of time.

    U.S. employees are eligible for paid time away as described below, subject to Cisco's policies :

    10 paid holidays per full calendar year, plus 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees

    1 paid day off for employee's birthday, paid year-end holiday shutdown, and 4 paid days off for personal wellness determined by Cisco

    Non-exempt employees

  • receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year, accrued at rate of 4.92 hours per pay period for full-time employees
  • Exempt employees participate in Cisco's flexible vacation time off program, which has no defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use (subject to availability and some business limitations)

    80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, and up to 80 hours ofunused sick timecarried forwardfrom one calendar yearto the next

    Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members

    Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer

    For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco's policies.

    Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows :

  • .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
  • 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

    1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and

    Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

    For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.

    The applicable full salary ranges for this position, by specific state, are listed below :

    New York City Metro Area :

    $135,800.00 - $222,400.00

    Non-Metro New York state & Washington state :

    $122,000.00 - $197,900.00

  • For quota-based sales roles on Cisco's sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined.
