What You'll Do
As a UPMC Paramedic, you'll be a vital part of our emergency response team, delivering high-quality care in fast-paced, high-stakes environments. Your responsibilities will include :
Administering basic and advanced life support in diverse settingsCommunicating with Medical Command and healthcare teamsPerforming emergency diagnostics and treatmentsEducating student paramedics and engaging in community outreachMaintaining equipment and vehicles for readinessDocumenting patient care and ensuring confidentialityPromoting safety and wellness for patients and team membersWhat We're Looking For

Qualifications : Qualifications
Education & Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent requiredAt least 1 year of experience in EMS (Advanced Life Support level) is preferredMust be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 100 poundsComfortable working outdoors in all weather conditionsMust have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to different base sites as neededMust be eligible for Medical Command authorization from the Medical DirectorCompletion of UPMC's orientation program , including classroom trainingAble to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and specialized equipmentLicenses & Certifications (Required) :
Certified Paramedic in PennsylvaniaValid Driver's LicenseEmergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) or Emergency Vehicle Driver (EVD)EMSVO Certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire)Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR CertificationClearances (Required with Renewal) :
