Authorization Specialist

A company is looking for an Authorization & Eligibility Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

Handle provider-specific eligibility inquiries and respond to provider questions

Conduct eligibility and benefit checks via payer portals and perform cost estimation

Manage a high volume of tickets daily while navigating web-based eligibility platforms

Required Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in eligibility, benefits, or revenue-cycle operations

Strong understanding of health-plan structures and provider eligibility verification

Experience with payer portals (e.g., Cigna) and tools like ZenDesk and Salesforce

Familiarity with large data tables and SQL-based or web-based eligibility platforms

Ability to manage repetitive, detail-oriented tasks efficiently
