WHAT YOU'LL DO

DAILY OPERATIONS

  • Lead by example in all areas including punctuality, appearance and work quality
  • Participates in pre-shift meetings alongside event managers to review the event's briefing and timing
  • Lead bar set-up to ensure it is executed in a timely manner
  • Review BEOs daily, weekly
  • Check proper amount of bar products and glassware are pulled per event
  • Demonstrate signature cocktail(s) preparation to bartenders when required
  • Oversee non-alcoholic beverage stations throughout the event
  • Take direction from Bar Manager and Directors
  • Creates a welcoming and hospitable environment for all guests while anticipating their needs
  • Identifies opportunities and ensures that guests' expectations are met
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of specialty and classic and signature cocktails (ingredients, specs, build), wine, beer, and beverage offerings
  • Maintains fluency in all menu items and ingredients with the ability to suggest beverage pairings
  • Monitors proper steps of service with the team throughout each event
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including the dining area
  • Can communicate effectively with staff members, management, and the culinary team during service
  • Able to assist event managers with dinner service in a fine dining atmosphere
  • Actively look for ways to help team members
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned from time to time by management
  • Uphold high standards and positive attitude to ensure the best experience

  • Monitor overpouring, waste and proper handling of bar products and glassware
  • Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Must have five years of bartending experience, knowledge of techniques and equipment for serving, storing, and handling food and beverage products
  • Leadership experienced recommended
  • Efficient in describing and serving different types of liquor, cocktails, beer, and wine
  • Preferred TIPS Certification or can pass TIPS Class to become certified
