PRE-OP / PACU REGISTERED NURSE- PRN

Job Summary : The primary duty of the Registered Nurse is to monitor and care for the patient during Interventional Radiology and Vascular procedures. The nurse also liaises between the patient, healthcare providers, and family. The nurse is to be familiar with the overall function(s) of the Interventional Radiology and Vascular specialty. Pre-op / Pacu RN to travel to any StrideCare location for procedures. Preferably will work 4 times per month.

Supervisory Responsibilities : Supervises care given by nonprofessional staff and provides instruction as needed.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities :

• Prepare patients for procedures, including checking vital signs
• Analyze lab results and medical history
• Provide education to the patient and family members
• Insert and remove IV lines
• Administer drugs, including moderate sedation
• Monitor patient patterns and vital signs during the procedure
• Oversee the safety and comfort of patients
• Provide post-procedure monitoring
• Other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
