About The Position

• Position : Interventional Radiology Technologist (covering both vascular and neuro cases)
• Certifications Required : ARRT(R), BLS (ACLS preferred)
• Experience : Above average skills in neuroradiology procedures (cerebral, coiling, kyphoplasty, spine work, stroke therapy, carotid stenting)
• Licensure : Must provide current radiation badge (agency provided)
• Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm, with call (1-2 shifts per week + every 3rd or 4th weekend, possible holiday call; 30-minute callback required)
• Scrubs : Provided by facility
• Travel Requirements : Must live outside 50-mile radius; prior perm and travel staff restrictions apply
• Team Submission : Travel teams must be submitted together in one email
• Core Duties :
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data
• Maintain sterile technique and prepare entry site for procedures
• Assemble supplies and assist physicians in lab environment
• Monitor and document patient ECG and blood pressure, communicate changes to physician
• Maintain patient and unit confidentiality
• Participate in on-call rotation, available for emergent procedures 24 / 7 as scheduled
• Assist in code situations and perform resuscitative measures under supervision
• Document procedures accurately and ensure correct billing
• Use and manage inventory control systems
• Participate in educational and in-service programs
• Instruct radiography students in clinical settings
• Maintain specialization in neuroradiology and vascular IR
• Prepare and check patients prior to procedures
• Participate in departmental performance improvement and inventory management activities
