Job descriptionPerform surgical procedures following best practices and safety standards Assess patient conditions, interpret clinical data, and create effective treatment plans Utilize critical thinking skills to adjust care plans as needed Work effectively in high-pressure and emergency situations Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and universal precautions Strong clinical perception to assess patients and interpret medical data Dexterity and precision in handling medical instruments and performing procedures Technological proficiency , including electronic order entry and medical record systems Adaptability and prioritization in dynamic healthcare settings Ability to provide culturally competent care to diverse patient populations Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from an accredited medical school Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery Active Illinois medical license and DEA registration Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire) Membership in good standing with MDH Medical Staff , adhering to AMA, AOA, and ACEP standards

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate General Surgeon to join our team. This role involves diagnosing and treating diseases, injuries, and deformities through invasive methods, including surgical procedures, manual manipulation, and the use of specialized instruments. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in surgical techniques, patient care, and clinical decision-making.
