US Tax Indirect Tax Technology and Transformation Manager

We focus on two key areas : implementation / delivery and technology creation / support. As a manager you'll continuously enhance your proficiencies in the design, promotion and delivery of major technology tools, including application development, data acquisition and transformation, and data analytics and visualization / reporting. You'll work side-by-side with tax-technical subject matter professionals (SMPs) to develop and deploy data and technology solutions that will enable our tax-technical SMPs to efficiently and effectively deliver quality tax consulting, with timely and responsive services and work products that meet and / or exceed client expectations.

Your key responsibilities

• Use technology to accelerate and enhance delivery of indirect tax services and actively participate as member of pursuit teams and service delivery teams supporting various client projects including working with internal and external stakeholders, developing transformative solutions, and fostering deep client relationships.
• Develop a technically diverse and talented team, all while handing activities that focus on quality and commercial value.
• Demonstrate characteristics of a forward-thinker and self-motivator that thrives on new challenges and adapts quickly to learning new skills.
• Collect and document engagement team and client feedback; identify market events such as new client needs and competitor activity.
• Develop or enhance proficiency in the use of major technology tools.
• Manage overall deployment of technology services through active participation as part of pursuit and client service engagement teams.
• Monitor penetration and performance of technology services and communicate to leadership.
• Monitor competitive and client feedback and needs and communicate with leadership to develop appropriate responses, products, or communications.
• Deliver high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget.
• Monitor progress, manage risk, and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
• Manage and motivate client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and monitor them until completion.
• Identify ways to automate manual tasks using existing financial or tax systems and emerging technologies.
• Design technology solutions that are aligned with the direction of the organization in terms of technology and business strategy.
• Partner with others to gather all requirements to formulate the appropriate architecture required to provide system functionality.
