Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Outpatient Adolescent / Teen Services

(Only QUALIFIED Healthcare Professionals accepted) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - A non-profit Community Health Center offering services to the insured, underinsured and uninsured is seeking a dynamic clinician with experience to join our dedicated team of clinicians at a New London outpatient health center. Experience with medication assisted treatment desired.

The successful candidate will perform diagnostic assessments|screens, mental status exam, psycho-social interview on children 0 - 17 years old who have been recently removed from their primary caretaker by the Department of Children and Family Services (DCF) for abuse and|or neglect concerns. Complete comprehensive report to inform|support recommendations made to DCF for each child. Coordinate multi-disciplinary component of evaluation with dental and medical departments.

Conduct interviews with patients|family members to evaluate coping abilities, dysfunctional adjustments, maladaptive behaviors, functional status. Provide individual, family, group therapy, crisis intervention and psycho-education. Evaluate for child abuse, domestic violence and makes appropriate referrals. Act as a consultant and|or educator to staff relative to assessment, criteria & referral. Act as a liaison for the patients within community (local, state and private agencies).
