SENIOR STUDENT SYSTEMS DEVELOPER, Student Systems Applications
Boston University – Boston, MA (Full‑Time / Regular) – Hybrid working team. Salary range : $140,000 - $150,000.
About the Role
Boston University Information Services & Technology (IS&T) seeks a Senior Student Systems Developer to join our Student Systems Application Development team. Responsibilities include PeopleSoft Campus Solutions application development on strategic and operational projects, student systems support, and continual improvement. The role reports to the Associate Director of Applications Development and works in a cross‑functional, matrixed team.
Responsibilities
- Participate in Student Systems strategic and operational projects as a developer, SME, release engineer, or other technical project role.
- Define, document, estimate, develop, and unit test customizations, extensions, and integrations in alignment with overall solution architecture and client requirements.
- Assist peers, functional leads, testers, and other project members throughout the project lifecycle, including design, unit testing, integration testing, training, and implementation.
- Support Student Systems in alignment with BU’s Software Development Lifecycle and Service Management structure.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.5+ years of experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and related development tools (PeopleCode, Application Designer, SQL, Integration Broker, Query).Experience in a client‑oriented team environment.Proficiency with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions modules, especially Financial Aid, Budgeting, Equations and Packaging, and Activity Guides / Workflow.Knowledge of ITIL processes : service management, configuration management, incident management, change management.Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Preferred / Bonus Qualifications
Experience with Budgeting, Equations and Packaging.Knowledge of ITIL processes.Benefits
