American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least 2 years of acute care experience, an active ID or compact RN license, and strong proficiency in a wide variety of surgical cases.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the Operating Room within an acute care hospital settingUnit features 17 OR suites handling an average of 65 cases per dayPatient population includes both pediatric and adult cases, covering general surgery, DaVinci, neuro-spine, craniotomies, orthopedic trauma, urology, oncology, ENT, GYN, bariatric, and moreUses Epic EMR systemShifts are 12 hours, typically 7a-7p, with a minimum of four call hours per week and variable days offWeekend, holiday, and nightly call rotation required, with in-house 12-hour call shifts at least once per monthCall response time is 30 minutesScrubbing is not required for RNsRare floating may occur to other nearby surgical centers or ORs if needed and if experiencedOrientation consists of one week including general and unit-specific trainingCollaborate with a team including 24 / 7 charge nurse support and OR techsScrubs are provided by the hospital and must be greyNo block scheduling or special scheduling requests will be acceptedPermanent employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year before applying as a travelerHoliday coverage is required as determined by departmental needs\n \n Requirements\n
Active RN license for Idaho or a compact stateCurrent BLS certification requiredMinimum of 2 years recent Operating Room nursing experience in an acute care settingPrevious travel assignment experience preferredExperience with a broad range of surgical procedures strongly preferredAbility to respond to call within 30 minutesExperience with Epic EMR preferredMust provide two professional references : one from a supervisor within the past 12 months, and one from a peer or supervisor within the past 3 yearsValid driver's license requiredMust live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility\n Benefits\n
