Med / Surg RN Job Details

Location : Rock Island, IL 61201 (Quad Cities – Illinois travel nursing jobs)

Unit : Clinical Resource Team, Medical-Surgical (Med / Surg) Unit

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Shift : 12-Hour Nights (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 10 / 2025, End : 2 / 9 / 2026)

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

Patient Ratio : 1 : 6-7 (nights)

Scrubs : Black or Navy Blue

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1950 - $2090

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg RN experience required

Active Registered Nurse license in Illinois or Iowa

Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA)

First-time travel nurses are encouraged to apply

Must live more than 50 miles from the hospital (Illinois travel nurse requirement)

Updated work history / resume

Completed skills checklist (within 1 year)

RN license verification

Copies of required certifications

One supervisory reference

Proof of taxable address

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team

Manage a patient load of 6-7 during night shifts

Collaborate with Patient Care Technicians and other healthcare professionals

Float within the Med / Surg discipline across local Rock Island campuses as needed

Document patient care using EPIC EMR system

Demonstrate professionalism and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical environment
