Our client is currently seeking a Certified Pharm Tech

Length of Assignment : 3+ monthsLocation : Carrollton, TX

Hours : 3 shifts to choice from, 40 hour work week Monday- Friday 7 : 00am - 4 : 00pm (2)

Monday- Friday 10 : 00am - 7 : 00pm (2)

Sat / Sun- 8 : 00am-4 : 00pm - Monday- Wednesday 8 : 00am-5 : 00 pm (2)

This job will have the following responsibilities :

• Maintains quality, accuracy, and integrity of inventory (for example, pharmaceuticals, supplies) by ensuring adherence to and documentation of inventory control procedures (for example, product strategies, product description discrepancies); auditing and testing pill cell performance per prescribed schedule and procedures; conducting process audits and formulating corrective actions; managing pill cell information database; troubleshooting issues with pill cell performance; identifying and properly discarding hazardous waste; processing recalled and expired pharmaceuticals; and disposing or processing return of outdated stock for credit.

Ensures fulfillment of pharmacy prescriptions in a Home Delivery / Specialty pharmacy by identifying and selecting pharmaceutical product and quantity for prescription orders; verifying the size and strength of the product before processing order; verifying display for pack and quantity; counting, pouring, measuring, or weighing medication tablets, liquids, and creams; mixing or reconstituting medications as needed; entering expiration date and lot numbers; labeling prescriptions; and preparing packages and distributing medications.

Qualifications & Requirements :

Holds an active / valid national certification certificate issued by PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT).

Preferred Qualifications : 2 years' experience using and maintaining automated medication counting machines. 2 years' experience working in a mail order or retail pharmacy environment. Pharmacy Technician Career Diploma
