Salary : $90,000 to $110,000 depending on experience

Position Overview

The Assistant Controller will support the Controller in overseeing the accounting and financial functions of the organization. This role will play a key part in financial reporting, internal controls, cost accounting, and compliance, while also helping drive operational efficiency across the finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in manufacturing finance, and the ability to lead projects that improve financial accuracy and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in managing day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

Partner with operations to monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and variance reporting.

Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.

Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to support strategic decision-making.

Provide financial support for audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements.

Lead or support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency within the finance function.

Supervise, mentor, and develop junior accounting staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA preferred.

5+ years of progressive accounting / finance experience, with at least 2 years in manufacturing or cost accounting.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control frameworks.
