Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine seeks a full‑time Child Neurologist to join the Department of Neurology’s Division of Child Neurology. The role focuses on patient care, teaching, and clinical research.

Mission or Goal of Unit : The mission of the Department of Neurology is to provide state‑of‑the‑art comprehensive patient‑centered neurological care for adults and children, perform translational and clinical research to further understanding of disease mechanisms and develop new treatments, and train the next generation of neurologists and clinical neurologists.

Chief Purpose of this position : The Division of Child Neurology is seeking a full‑time member to join our expanding clinical and research enterprises. This position will provide patient care, engage in medical student and neurology resident and fellow education, and participate in clinical research.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide primary clinical care for patients in inpatient and outpatient settings, emphasizing child neurology.
• Teach medical students and housestaff; develop and organize formal conferences for housestaff and students on child‑neurology topics; attend weekly Grand Rounds and lecturer as requested.
• Participate in, and when appropriate lead, clinical research studies and clinical trials.
• Serve on departmental, School of Medicine, and / or university committees and in professional capacities such as reviewer and conference organizer.
