Job Overview - Substance Use Counselor (CAC) :

Compensation : $25 / hour

Location : Norristown, PA

Schedule : Monday, Thursday, and Sunday, 9 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM (Part-Time)

Join our behavioral health client in Norristown, PA as a Substance Use Counselor (CAC). In this part-time role, you'll provide substance use counseling, education, and care coordination for individuals in the Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program. You'll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop personalized recovery plans, lead evidence-based therapy sessions, and help clients navigate their treatment and long-term recovery goals.

Responsibilities as the Substance Use Counselor (CAC) :

• Client Assessment & Recovery Planning : Complete intakes, conduct ongoing assessments, and develop outcome-based recovery plans for individuals with MAT / SUD needs.
• Therapy & Education : Deliver individual and group counseling using evidence-based practices such as trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and harm reduction.
• Care Coordination & Referrals : Collaborate with primary care and behavioral health teams, manage transitions to higher levels of care, and support taper plans.
• Life Functioning Support : Assist clients in improving daily living skills related to housing, employment, legal issues, and education.
• Administrative & On-Call Duties : Maintain accurate documentation, attend interdisciplinary meetings, support prior authorizations, and participate in after-hours phone rotation.
