SUMMIT Appliance, a Division of Felix Storch, Inc. is a 55-year-old private business, located in the Bronx, NY and Edison, NJ. We are a manufacturer and distributor of major appliances, including vaccine, healthcare and life science refrigeration. We are adding staff to handle our recent growth, and anticipated growth from the largest product expansion in our history. As a manufacturer of specialty and healthcare appliances, we seek an individual to join our customer service and sales team to handle telephone and email inquiries and assist our sales and parts and service departments. Our company provides opportunities for staff to advance within the company.

Please note that this is an in-office role located at our Edison, NJ office.

The candidate must have flexible hours to work an 8-hour shift within the 7 : 00 AM to 6 : 00 PM range. (Monday to Friday). Some paid overtime may be required.

Customer service representative responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Handling incoming requests for sales help and customer service via email and telephone.
  • Helping customers place orders for merchandise or parts as needed.
  • Entering orders into our computer system and following through with
  • Providing information on our appliances to customers as requested.
  • Communicating with customers and dealers and resolving problems related to shipping, delivery and operating their appliances.
  • Some basic internet research to support the sales and service departments.
  • Always providing professional and courteous customer service.

Minimum Requirements :

  • An associate degree or some advanced education and equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years customer service or inside sales experience dealing with high call volume and emails.
  • Solid analytical skills necessary to make decisions and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Ability to plan and organize activities and workload to multiple demands.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must be willing to openly accept new tasks.
  • Strong computer, Excel, and email skills
  • Ability to compose grammatically correct and concise emails
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Highly energetic, independent, with the ability to plan, organize and multitask
  • A passion for problem solving,
  • A commitment to follow through as well as attention to detail and an understanding of customer service principles.
  • Some experience with major appliances is a plus but is not required.
  • Rate of Pay : $22 / hour, commensurate with education and experience
