Responsibilities and Functions :
Works under the supervision of the Dietary Department Head and Dietary Supervisors
Responsibilities are as follows;
- Keeping all areas of food storage organized and clean
- Serve residents with appropriate food portions, per individual diet needs
- Assist with washing, clearing and resetting tables
- Wash dishes / silverware, cooking utensils and cookware
- Assist with stocking shelves as needed.
- Generate and assist with sub slips
- Help sweep & mop dining area at the shift end
- Help to kitchen area clean, and ensure clean at end of shift
- Make up trays
- Stock upstairs cooler
- Pour coffee
- Help with any extras to be done
- Assist residents with elevators
- Other duties as assigned
- Attend required staff meetings.
Work hours as scheduled by supervisor
Servers and dishwashers are cross-trained between the 2 positions
Requirements :
Must be at least 15 years of age with valid workers permitCurrent physical and TB testAbility to lift at least 25lbsAbility to walk and stand for long periods of timeAbility to interact with others and provide good customer serviceMotivation and ability to work independentlyDemonstrates dependabilityAdherence to policies and procedures
