Job Title : Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Travel Nursing
Facility Type : Acute Care Medical Center / Long Term Care / Outpatient
Trauma Level : Level IV Trauma, Critical Access Hospital
Contract Duration : 13-week travel nursing contract
Start Date : January 5, 2026
End Date : April 6, 2026
Shift : Rotating 12-hour shifts (Day : 07 : 00-19 : 00, Night : 19 : 00-07 : 00), 3 shifts / week
Hours : 36 hours / week (Guaranteed 60 hours per 2 weeks; may be called off for 1 shift per 2 weeks)
Estimated Weekly Pay : $2110 - $2260
Unit : Emergency Department (6 beds, 5 rooms, daily census ~10)
Housing & Vehicle : Facility-provided 1-bedroom apartment and rental car
Charting System : Epic EMR
Scrub Color : Any or Business Casual
Parking : Free onsite parking
Emergency Room RN Qualifications
Active Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license (no pending licenses)
Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS (TNCC preferred)
Previous Charge RN experience required
Experience with Epic EMR preferred
Ability to work weekends and 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
Willingness to float within scope to meet facility and affiliate hospital needs
Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (no local candidates)
Facility only accepts Hepatitis B vaccines
Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients
Perform procedural sedation, manage dysrhythmias, start and maintain IVs, and care for ventilated patients
Phlebotomy and continuous IV sedation
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
Float to other units or affiliate hospitals as needed
Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
Participate in self-scheduling and adapt to variable shifts
