PH 180-1 : Skills for Success in Public Health
The Department of Public Health at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Spring 2024 to teach PH 531 : Community Engagement and Health Education. The course is a 3-unit class taught in the first 8 weeks of the semester.
Course Description
This course provides foundational skills and knowledge for academic and professional success in Public Health. It equips students with essential problem-solving and critical thinking skills required for application in academic and professional settings. It explores discipline-specific core concepts in Public Health career pathways for the major and resources available to Public Health majors on campus. It emphasizes cooperative learning project management professionalism effective communication information literacy and promotes intrapersonal and interpersonal skills to be used throughout the Public Health profession.
