Position : Travel Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
Location : Reno, NV
Facility Setting : Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
Contract Length : 13 weeks
Schedule : Day Shift | 5x8s (40 hours / week)
Pay : Up to $1,600 per week
Start : ASAP
Job Responsibilities
As a Travel COTA, you will support patients in achieving meaningful, functional outcomes by assisting with therapeutic interventions under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Daily responsibilities include :
Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility training
Provide therapeutic exercises to enhance strength, coordination, balance, and endurance
Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety strategies
Accurately document patient progress in compliance with facility and state regulations
Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including therapists, nursing staff, and case managers
Education & Certification Requirements
Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license in the state of Nevada or eligibility for licensure
NBCOT certification required
Minimum of 1 year of COTA experience (LTC / SNF experience preferred)
CPR / BLS certification (current)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
