Job Description

As a Harness Manufacturing Technician, you'll play a crucial role in the production of high-quality wire harnesses used in various industries, such as electronics, automotive, and telecommunications. This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career in manufacturing, learn essential skills, and contribute to the production of essential components.

Responsibilities

  • Operate machinery to precisely cut and strip wires to specified lengths and dimensions, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Assemble wire components according to engineering specifications, including the termination of connectors, crimping, and soldering, ensuring quality and reliability.
  • Conduct visual inspections and perform basic quality tests on wires to identify defects, irregularities, or deviations from standards, and assist in maintaining a high level of quality in the manufacturing process.
  • Learn to operate various wire manufacturing machines, following standard operating procedures, and assist in routine maintenance tasks to keep equipment in optimal condition.
  • Properly handle and organize raw materials, tools, and finished products, maintaining a clean and organized work area for efficient production.
  • Accurately record production data, measurements, and quality checks as required, contributing to process documentation and reporting.

Work Environment

Located in the Lenexa caves, this climate-controlled facility hosts a small team of 8-10 friendly people, including the owner of the company who is onsite. The work schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6 : 30 AM to 5 PM, with 10-hour shifts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00 / hr.
