Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), you will support patient care in the perioperative environment by assisting surgeons and nursing staff throughout surgical procedures. This is a fast-paced environment focused on clinical excellence, where your contributions significantly impact patient lives.Your Responsibilities :
Create and maintain a sterile environment.Prepare the Operating Room by setting up sterilized instruments and assisting with patient positioning.Support the surgical team with instrument handling, fluid management, and equipment preparation.Implement accurate counting techniques for surgical tools and sponges.Assist in the safe transport and transfer of patients.Follow safety procedures meticulously.Qualifications :
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.A minimum of 2 years of Certified Surgical Technician experience is required.Certification as a Surgical Technician (CST) or equivalent, such as a Technician in Surgery (NCCT), or relevant vocational training.Robotics experience is advantageous.Medical City Dallas is a recognized 895+ bed tertiary care center with a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
