Director, Biomedical Engineering

Overview

The Director of Biomedical Engineering is responsible for overseeing and leading the biomedical engineering operations across all facilities within Carle Health, ensuring the effective management, maintenance, and optimization of clinical technologies and medical equipment. This leadership role will drive the integration of biomedical engineering solutions that align with organizational goals while ensuring regulatory compliance, system reliability, and cost-effectiveness. The Director will collaborate closely with clinical teams, Information Technology, and operational staff to implement best practices, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and foster continuous improvement in biomedical engineering services.

Qualifications

Certifications :

• Certified Healthcare Technology Manager (CHTM) within 18 months or
• Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) within 18 months

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $47.98per hour - $82.53per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
