About the Opportunity

A leading manufacturer is seeking a skilled Maintenance Repair Technician (CNC) to join their 2nd shift team in Syracuse, NY . This role is focused on maintaining and troubleshooting CNC machinery and electrical systems critical to production. If you have a strong blend of mechanical / electrical repair experience and can work with PLCs and ladder logic, this opportunity offers excellent compensation, relocation assistance, and growth potential.

Youll play a key role in ensuring machine reliability, safety, and uptime across high-precision operations.

What Youll Do

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues in CNC equipment
  • Disassemble, inspect, repair or replace defective components, and reassemble to spec
  • Use ladder logic and PLC diagnostics to locate faults and restore operations
  • Perform electrical testing and validation to ensure system performance
  • Interpret schematics, blueprints, and manuals to conduct repairs
  • Proactively identify and report issues affecting uptime or performance
  • Support safety and compliance initiatives at all times

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • 3+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience OR a related degree + 1 year experience (required)
  • Experience with ladder logic, motor control schematics, and blueprint reading (required)
  • Working knowledge of PLC logic and industrial controls
  • CNC maintenance experience (preferred)
  • Familiarity with hydraulics and electrical testing (preferred)
  • Associate degree in electronics or military electronics background (preferred)
