Med / Surg RN Job Details

Location : Rushville, Illinois (Zip : 62681)

Healthcare Setting : Med / Surg Adult Unit

Assignment Duration : 13-week travel contract (Start : 11 / 13 / 2025 – End : 2 / 12 / 2026)

Nursing Shift : 12-hour nights (6 : 30pm – 7 : 00am), 3 shifts per week

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1780 - $1910

Employment Type : Travel nursing job

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license in the State of Illinois

Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience (2 years preferred)

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Ability to supervise LPNs, Nursing Assistants, and other RNs as charge nurse

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care to assigned Med / Surg patients

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure high-quality clinical support

Supervise and support LPNs, Nursing Assistants, and fellow RNs as needed

Maintain compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulatory standards
