As a key member of our team, we are seeking an Audiologist to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans.
The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role.
This role is part of the VA's disability benefits process. The Veteran files the claim before they see you and all their medical records are uploaded into a computer portal for your review during the appointment.
You will conduct a Maryland CNC Test and Puretone Audiometric test. After that, you will complete a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) in the computer portal, which forms the medical evidence that allows the VA to decide the veteran's benefits.
The role does not involve prescribing any medical treatments or devices.
This position involves reviewing and assessing 3-6 Veterans per day on average. Your schedule will be 3 consistent days / week, Monday to Friday from 8am-5pm.
This is an IN-PERSON position with one hour to one hour and thirty minutes allocated per patient. You will have no evenings, weekends, or on-call commitments. Additionally, there are no hearing aid sales involved.
