Prototype Assembler

Title : Prototype Assembler

Location : San Jose, CA 95138 (100% onsite)

Duration : 6 months contract

Schedule : 40 hrs per week; M-F; 7am-3 : 30pm

Pay range : $27-$30 / hour on W2

The Prototype Assembler will be responsible for assembling, testing and repairing memory test equipment / fixture / tester.

Requirements :

• 2+ years' experience in Mechanical Assembly (Box build).
• Experience with building prototype fixtures with large sheet metal.
• Experience with small hand tools / Power Tools. (screwdrivers, etc.)
• This job requires the ability to lift up to 40lbs, bend, twist, turn, kneel, squat, reach overhead.
• Ability to understand and verify the Assembly Instruction / Test Procedure / Drawing / BOM and provide feedback to Engineer.
• The ability to read Assembly Drawing, basic schematics and wire diagram is a plus.
• Experience with a Digital Voltmeter.
• Must be able to communicate with cross functional personnel (Verbally and by email).
• Needs to be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willing and able to work overtime.
