Dietrich Trucking is seeking an
- experienced Swing Shift Diesel Mechanic
- to maintain and repair our fleet of trucks and trailers operating throughout the Pacific Northwest. This role requires a skilled, self-motivated mechanic capable of diagnosing and repairing equipment independently during evening hours. Work will take place both in the shop and in the field, often in varying weather conditions.
- Key Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Repair or replace engines, transmissions, differentials, air systems, and braking components
- Conduct welding and light fabrication as needed
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts used
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and identify potential issues
- Ensure all work meets company safety standards and DOT compliance
- Support fleet operations by maintaining communication with the fleet manager
- Qualifications
- Minimum
- 2 years of diesel mechanic experience
- (truck or heavy equipment preferred)
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen
- Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting ability
- Familiarity with air brakes, hydraulics, and DEF / emission systems
- Basic welding and fabrication experience
- Must have own hand tools (shop provides specialty tools)
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (CDL preferred)
- Ability to lift 75 lbs and work in outdoor or confined environments

Pay : $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
