Dietrich Trucking is seeking an

• experienced Swing Shift Diesel Mechanic
• to maintain and repair our fleet of trucks and trailers operating throughout the Pacific Northwest. This role requires a skilled, self-motivated mechanic capable of diagnosing and repairing equipment independently during evening hours. Work will take place both in the shop and in the field, often in varying weather conditions.
• Key Responsibilities
• Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Repair or replace engines, transmissions, differentials, air systems, and braking components
• Conduct welding and light fabrication as needed
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts used
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and identify potential issues
• Ensure all work meets company safety standards and DOT compliance
• Support fleet operations by maintaining communication with the fleet manager
• Qualifications
• Minimum
• 2 years of diesel mechanic experience
• (truck or heavy equipment preferred)
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen
• Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting ability
• Familiarity with air brakes, hydraulics, and DEF / emission systems
• Basic welding and fabrication experience
• Must have own hand tools (shop provides specialty tools)
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (CDL preferred)
• Ability to lift 75 lbs and work in outdoor or confined environments

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
