Description :

This position involves working in a labor and delivery unit.

The unit has 8 beds, consisting of 6 LDRP and 2 Triage.

There are 25 staff members on the unit.

During the day shift, there are 3-4 RNs, including 1 CNC / CN and 2-3 RNs.

The night shift has 3 RNs, consisting of 1 CNC / CN and 2 RNs.

Patient ratios include 1 : 1 for labor / induction and up to 6 : 1 for postpartum.

The equipment utilized consists of a computer, fetal monitor, IV pump, and infant warmer.

EMR is used for patient documentation.

Typical procedures performed include labor management, induction of labor, spontaneous vaginal delivery, vacuum-assisted vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and manual external version.

Candidates must possess the required certifications.

Floating may occur in acute care and emergency departments for task-related duties.

The dress code requires the use of surgical scrubs.

Every other weekend commitment is expected.
