RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details :

• Work 36 hours per week with every other weekend requirement
• Patient ratios of 3 : 1 or 4 : 1
• Unit has 33 beds focused on progressive cardiac care
• Must have experience with Post-Op CABGs, vascular and general cardiac patient population
• Required knowledge of cardiac drips / titrations and electrolyte replacement
• Must have experience with management of chest tubes, epicardial pacing wires, and TR bands
• Documentation system : Meditech
• Float assignments as needed (first to float policy)
• Unit secretaries available Monday-Friday 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM
• Nurse extern availability at times
• Required certifications : BLS and ACLS
• Dress code : Galaxy Blue, Red, or Black scrubs
• Focus on patient experience requirements including pain management, communication and responsiveness
• Unit features mixture of experienced and new nurses with impeccable teamwork
