_ A Day in the Life _
The Clinical Research Nurse on the Multidisciplinary team assists in the conduct of clinical trials in a variety of therapeutic areas including neurology, cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery among others. A clinical nurse provides patient care. A research nurse cares for their patient, but follows a research protocol using very specific timelines, assessments and evaluations
A clinical nurse provides patient care while a research nurse cares for their patient, but follows a research protocol using very specific timelines, assessments and evaluations Each day is different, but a typical day will include collaborating with coworkers and off-site project team members, extracting data from multiple sources, providing education to and communicating with nursing and medical staff as well as ancillary teams with a dash of research directed patient care mixed in. No two days are the same, no two studies are the same.

Current Registered Nurse license, in good standing with State of Michigan Board of Nursing required.
3 years recent clinical experience required.
