Senior Technical Writer / Trainer

A company is looking for a Senior Technical Writer / Trainer to support the development and delivery of training materials for a Department of Defense modernization effort.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, update, and maintain training guides, SOPs, and user manuals for diverse audiences

Coordinate with SMEs and developers to ensure materials reflect current system functionality

Create and manage learning content and courseware, supporting both initial and refresher training

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Information Systems, Education, or a related field

Minimum 7 years of experience in technical writing, instructional design, or training delivery for federal or defense programs

Proficiency in authoring tools such as Adobe FrameMaker and Microsoft 365

Familiarity with DoD documentation standards and accessibility compliance

Active Secret clearance is required
