Senior Software Engineer Technical Lead

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client is a profitable, long-standing SaaS platform serving thousands of business users across the U.S. They are entering a major modernization and growth phase and are seeking a hands-on VP of Engineering / Lead Developer to take full ownership of engineering, elevate delivery, and guide the next generation of the product.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a stable SaaS business with real revenue, real customers, and a clear vision — while also being empowered to rebuild, modernize, and scale the platform with autonomy.

WHAT YOU’LL LEAD

The incoming leader will own both day-to-day development and long-term technology direction, including :

• Writing high-quality, efficient production code and setting the technical standard
• Leading and mentoring a small distributed engineering team
• Bringing predictability, clarity, and accuracy to estimates, project planning, and delivery
• Steering architecture decisions and modernizing the existing codebase
• Owning application reliability, security, and performance as user growth continues
• Partnering directly with executive leadership to prioritize initiatives and roadmap investments
• Guiding a large-scale platform modernization currently underway

You will be inheriting a strong foundation with significant upside — including a maturing V4 rebuild, a committed customer base, and major opportunities to drive quality, velocity, and engineering discipline.

KEY TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT

We’re looking for someone comfortable leading and building in an environment that includes :

Experience navigating both legacy code and modern frameworks is essential.
