Job / Department Summary :

Under general supervision of the Study Abroad and Exchange (SAE) Coordinator the Study Abroad & Exchange Advisor performs moderately complex professional student services work in the Office of International Education and Global Engagement. The Study Abroad & Exchange Advisor supports the day-to-day activities of Study Abroad & Exchange Advisor programs on campus. Assignments typically include a wide variety of professional student services and program activities including but not limited to advising students in individual and group settings student recruiting program outreach and support.

Required Education and Experience :

Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences public or business administration or a job-related field. Additional specialized experience which demonstrates the applicant has successfully applied the knowledge and abilities of a Student Services professional may also be substituted for required education on a year-for year basis.

AND

Possession of these knowledge and abilities is typically demonstrated through the equivalent of two years of professional experience in one of the student services program areas or in a related field; experience should give evidence of competence and indicate the potential for further growth.

• A masters degree in a jobrelated field may be substituted for one year of the professional experience.

CSU Classification Salary Range : $60996 - $86736 per year.

Throughout employment in this position incumbent must maintain a valid California Drivers License as well continued completion and compliance of the CSU Defensive Drivers Training course.

Throughout employment in this position incumbent must maintain a valid passport for travel overseas and complete the mandated physical exams and protocols such as vaccinations to obtain a VISA for each assigned destination.

Attend and assist with activities outside normal business hours such as evenings and weekends.

Travel overnight on weekends and evenings locally and internationally when applicable and when funding allows.
