Description :

This position requires a registered nurse with experience in pediatric intensive care.

First-timers are accepted for this role, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience.

The documentation system used is Epic.

Nurses may be floated based on census needs, with travelers being the first to float.

Weekend shifts require working 4 shifts each month.

Nurses must have BLS and PALS certifications.

Self-scheduling is available for time off, approved at the manager's discretion.

Time off requests must be included in the initial submission.

Nurses will provide care primarily for patients from birth to 21 years old.

Skills needed include managing ports, administering medications, and ventilator management.

Other responsibilities include monitoring patients and performing various clinical procedures.

Daily patient ratios are expected to be around 2 patients.

Staffing includes interdisciplinary support from various services.

Travelers are prioritized for floating within the hospital.

Candidates will require a reference from the last two years.
