Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for outpatient care in Vermont, requiring 2 years of recent PT experience and a current VT license.
Responsibilities
Work primarily in an outpatient PT clinic with flexibility to provide inpatient coverage as neededPatient diagnoses include orthopedic and sports injuries, neurological disorders, musculoskeletal dysfunctions, and post-operative careTypical caseload is 8 patients per day Monday through Thursday, and 6 on FridaysPatient treatments include manual techniques and therapeutic exercises for a variety of conditionsOutpatient clinic is closed on major holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's DayMust be prepared to work two specified holiday weekends as part of the assignmentUse of the CPSI EMR system is highly preferredResponsibilities include direct patient care, evaluations, and individualized treatment planningTherapists provide a combination of advanced hands-on techniques and patient educationExperience with both traditional and non-traditional PT techniques is valuedRequested time off must be declared at time of application; no more than 5 days will be approvedMust not reside within 50 miles of the facility to be eligibleMust provide at least one supervisory signed reference from the past two years of employmentSmall community environment with a collaborative therapy teamRequirements
Minimum 2 years of current PT experience requiredGraduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program requiredCurrent Vermont PT license must be in hand at time of consideration (license required if applicable)BLS (AHA) certification requiredPrevious rehab experience requiredAt least 3 months of previous travel PT experience requiredMust be able to treat all standard outpatient diagnoses and work independentlyExperience working with PTAs preferredExperience using CPSI EMR highly preferredNPI number requiredMust have own vehicle due to limited public transportation in the areaBenefits
