Position Overview
We're hiring a Rental Maintenance Specialist to help maintain our rental properties at a high standard. In this role, you'll be responsible for completing maintenance work orders, performing routine property inspections, and handling general repairs to ensure homes are safe, functional, and well-cared-for. You'll also maintain positive communication with tenants to support a great living experience. What will I do?
Schedule and perform regular inspections of rental properties to identify needed maintenance and ensure proper care of each home
Perform preventative maintenance across multiple properties to avoid costly repairs
Maintain and update a deferred maintenance list with property addresses, issues, and estimated costs
Complete scope-of-work punch items identified during post-renovation inspections
Inspect subcontractor work on punch list items to verify completion and quality standards
Track progress of repairs and updates in the company CRM
Respond to all maintenance requests within 24 hours of receipt
Document completed work with clear photos and notes for the Project Manager
What do I have to have?
3–5 years of hands-on residential maintenance experience (multi-family or single-family properties preferred)
Working knowledge of basic home repair trades, including electrical, plumbing, drywall, and painting
HVAC certification strongly preferred (EPA Universal or Type II ideal)
Ability to troubleshoot, prioritize, and complete multiple work orders independently
Strong communication skills to interact with tenants, subcontractors, and team members
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (company vehicle may be provided based on availability)
