Job Overview

The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the company, including month end close, forecasting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The Financial Controller reports to the President and Owners of the this privately held company.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the leadership team to support business growth and company long-term objectives.
• Perform daily A / R and A / P tasks.
• Ensure financial integrity of the company.
• Manage the month-end financial closing in compliance with US GAAP.
• Understand the legal entity structure and reporting of 3 different business segments.
• Act as liaison with banking and insurance partners.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and provide business analysis.
• Work directly with the public accounting firm to support financial statement reviews and tax planning.
• Provide treasury management, daily cash tracking, and forecasting.
• Provide commercial and credit insurance administration.
• Review balance sheet account reconciliations monthly.
• Ad hoc tasks assigned by the Owners.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Accounting (4-year College / University Degree).

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or experience as a Controller for at least 3 years.

Strong understanding and application of US GAAP.

Strong IT acumen and willing to become subject matter expert in the ERP system.

Microsoft Office software (i.e. Excel, Outlook).

Team oriented mindset.

Ability to work in an office environment (not remote).
